James C. Wittig, MD, Orthopedic Oncologist and Sarcoma Surgeon, has been appointed Chairman of Orthopedic Surgery at Morristown Medical Center and system-wide medical director of Orthopedic Oncology at Atlantic Health System, commencing August 1, 2018. Dr. Wittig will be responsible for ensuring outstanding quality, academic excellence, and optimal operational performance across Atlantic Health System’s six hospitals.

In addition to overseeing the Orthopedics Department, Dr. Wittig will continue to maintain a busy clinical practice for adults and pediatrics. He will be joined by Dr. Jay Patel for a two year fellowship in Orthopedic Oncology.

James C. Wittig, MD specializes in limb-sparing surgery; pediatric and adult bone and soft tissue sarcomas; melanoma; benign musculoskeletal tumors; metastatic cancers; as well as complex hip and knee replacement surgery.
